The tournament will be played ON LINE on the OGS server and organized on Discord.

Rules:
- if more than 8 participants: 7 rounds Swiss (each round pairs players with same number of wins; everyone in the same starting group); up to 8 participants: round-robin (everyone meets everyone)
- final standings according to the number of wins (tie-breaker: 1. result of the mutual game; 2. declaared strength)
- 15 minutes per player (no extra time - sudden death)
- Handicap - 2 (reference = ranking - kyu/dan - according to the Belgian rating list, or at a stronger level if you prefer)

PS:
- the games won't count for the ratings
- only a Belgian player may get the title of "Belgian rapid games champion" (and the title will be granted only if there are at least 6 participants).

Join the Belgian Team for the next Pandanet European Championship 2021/22 !

Dear Belgian Go players,

The next season of Pandanet Go European Team Championship start on mid-October.
This time Belgian Team will play in C-League.
There will be 7 matches all over the year.

If you want to join the Belgian team, please send a message to "secretary at gofed dot be" with your first name, family name, rank and Pandanet User account (you can easily create one on Pandanet server: http://pandanet-igs.com/communities/pandanet ).
Gabriel Mercier, the team Captain, will then contact you back as soon as possible.

The 12 top ranked participants will be accepted in the team: with 7 players from last year already in, this leave 5 spots to fill !

Condition to be a member of the Team:
1° Having Belgian citizenship.
2° Agreed to play for Belgium only (cannot change team after season start).
3° Be ready to play a (online) game on one Tuesday evening (usually from 8 pm to 11 pm) every month.
Answer this message before 3rd of October (10 pm)

You can contact Gabriel directly through KGS (search for "liusasori" in Belgian Room) or Facebook (on Belgian Go Federation group).

Complete schedule will be send at the beginning of the season so I expect you to put it in your agenda and to free your Tuesdays evening :)

The 1st round of the Belgium Go Master League (BGML) is over. Congratulations to Benjamin Demets, Antoine Hovelaque, Frank Segers, Gertjan Verhaeren, Guillaune Jouret and Eric Baijot who won their division. We are pleased to announce that this competition was a success. Indeed, almost all the games were played well. Thanks to all of you. This encourage us to continue this adventure.

De Belgian Go Master League (BGML) is een toernooi in ‘league’ formaat waar elke speler geplaatst wordt in een divisie van 5 spelers in functie van zijn officiële speelsterkte.
Gedurende een cyclus (2 - 3 maanden) neemt elke speler het op tegen elke andere speler binnen zijn divisie.
Aan het einde van elke cyclus wordt de topspeler van elke divisie gepromoveerd naar een hogere divisie, terwijl de speler op de laatste plaats afzakt naar een lagere divisie. Deelname is gratis, maar enkel leden van de Belgische Go Federatie kunnen deelnemen.

Le “Belgian Go Master League” (BGML) est un tournoi de type league où chaque joueur est placé dans une division de 5 joueurs en fonction de son classement.
Chacun affronte les autres joueurs de sa division pendant un cycle (de 2 à 3 mois).
Le premier de chaque division est promu au niveau supérieur et le dernier relégué une division inférieure au bout de chaque cycle.
La participation est gratuite, mais seuls les membres de la Fédération belge de Go peuvent participer.

9th (and last) round of the European Team Championship: Belgium lost to Sweden (1-3)...and is demoted to C-league ! :-(

Belgian team (Lucas -, Jan - , Lucman -, Gabriel +) lost to a direct rival, Sweden 1-3.
Belgium ended last in the B-league and so is demoted to C-league for the next season ! :-(

EUROPEAN GO JOURNAL

It's a new project that has just started in March 2021 (redactors: Artem Kachanovskyi & Kim Ouweleen)

It will be published monthly and the content is of course about the game of Go. It is supported by the European Go Federation.

The journal contains roughly 50 pages in A4 size and features the following topics:
- overview of recent go news, focusing on Europe and including major events worldwide
- game reviews
- interviews
- art & photography
- studying with AI
- problems
- tesuji of the month

Distributed in digital and paperback forms.

Prices:
- digital edition: 5 euro per month
- paperback edition: 15 euro per month (the price of delivery included)

The first edition of the journal (February 2021) is free of charge.

The Belgian Go Federation organizes the 2020 Belgian Rapid Games Championship (15 min per player) on Sunday 29/11 from 2 PM to (max) 7 PM.

IMPORTANT: tournament reserved for the 2020 member of the BGF !

No registration fees.

It will be played ON LINE on the OGS server.

Register on OGS by joining sending an e-mail to blitz2020@gofed.be with your name-surname and your ranking (kyu-dan) according to the Belgian rating list https://www.gofed.be/rating(*)

(*) you may register at a stronger level, if you think you have become stronger meanwhile.
if you are a BGF member and do not find your name in the rating list, contact your club responsible or the BGF board (board@gofed.be) to get a ranking.
